Arthur William Ledgerwood was com* I mitted for trial on Tuesday on a charge of attempting to murder Ruby Jane M'Knighfi J on March 16 last by shooting her with ti revolver. The case against Charles Butler for th* murder of Henrietta Louisa Foster at Vievr Hill on April 8 has been adjourned til*-. April 19, on the application of the police. The Hon. G. W. Russell, Minister for Public Health, thinks that some easier and less expensive method of training dentists will have to be provided than by the pre- \ sent Dental School connected with the Otago University. He .suggests that the work should be done through the Hospital Boards, the Government giving a subsidy equal to 75 per cent, of the money s<E spent. ' , , \_l Messrs J. H. Walker, J. Loudon, D.. Larnach, ' and Captain Sundstrum wer«» elected to represent the City of Dunedi* and St. Kilda as members of the Otag<g. Harbour Board, being one less than th# number required. Mr H. E. Mollor wafi re-elected to represent West Harbour, M# J. M. Dickson, M.P., was re-elected to re« v present Taieri County, and Mr T. H. Russell, of Milburn, to represent Bruce, Clutha, Tuapeka, and Maniototo Counties.
