WELLINGTON. A dispute lately occurred between the executive of the Seamen's Union and the Auckland Union regarding the election of Mr J. K. Kncen and Mr T. F. Anderson as secretary and assistant secretary respectively of the Auckland Union. This has no.v been settled, the head office having adopted a resolution declaring these officers elected. CANTERBURY. It has been the general experience that for some time past crime has been on the decrease throughout the dominion, and some figures from the records of the local Magistrate's Court show that Ohristchurch has been no exception to (lie general rule.
