A proposal to present a silver cross to every mother who lias lost a son at the front is being considered by the Canadian Government. It was widely discussed when first mooted, and was then submitted to the Government for a decision. In roferrinc to the matter this week, Mr W. A. Bcddoe, Canadian Trade Commissioner, suggested that a similar project might appeal to the people of New Zealand.
