SEQUEL TO DOMESTIC QUARREL.
WELLINGTON, December 19. Constable William Fitzgerald was admitted to the hospital to-night, suffering from serious injuries to hie head as tho iresult of a savage attack by Charles Henderson. A violent quarrel occurred, during the evening between Henderson and his wife at their homo in Molesworth street, and Mrs Henderson called Fitzgerald in to protect her. Henderson assaulted the con»table, hitting him with a glass or bottle,
and knocked him about badly. Help was summoned, and Henderson was arrested. He will be charged in tho morning with inflicting grievous bodily harm. It is not anticipated that the constable's wounds wii. prove dangerous.
