NEW YORK, July 19. The Navy Bill has been passed by tho Senate. WASHINGTON, July 19. Sufficient high-powered anti-aircraft guns have been completed to supply the whole navy. The gun has a high angle range of 27,000 yards (over 15 miles). The Naval Appropriation Piill, as reported to the Senate, authorised the expenditure of £61,000,000 for the year, which is £9.000,000 more than the original programme. The building increases, which were originally to extend over five years, are to be carried out in three. They include 10 battleships (four to be begun immediately), six battle-cruisers, 10 scoutcruisers/ 50 destroyers, and nine fleet submarines, of which three will be 800-ton vessels, and 12 other submarines. The total of the new units is 157, of which 66 will be started without delay. A bonus of 20 per cent, over contract prices is offered fop expeditious delivery. It is estimated that tho expenditure for tho three years will be £100,000,000.
