A meeting of the Southland Land Board was held on the 22nd inst. Present: The Commissioner (Mr 11. D. M. Haszard) and Messrs C. Robertson and James King. Parker, of Athol, asked that section 16. block 111, Hokonui district, 18 acres, be submitted at auction, and offered £l2 per acre for the land that the river had not encroached on, which he estimates _ at II acres.—Land to- be submitted at auction for cash at £l2 per acre, subject to survey. EL M. M'Lood applied to purchase section 9, block X. Toetoes survey district, 3r 33]i. and offers £1 for same.—Recommended for approval of Minister of Lands at £3. Mrs I. Crengle, the lessee of section 24, block XVII, Jacob's River Hundred, 256 a 3r. asked for an extension of six months in which to comply with improvement conditions. — Granted. Wm. P. M'lndoe applied for grazing right over sections 10, block VI. and section 6, block VII, Wrcy's Bush Township, 3a 3r 3p, and offers £1 per annum. Granted. W. Haldane applied, for 21 years' lease, with right to foil and burn the bush, and to bo allowed valuation for same, over section 9a, block XV. Waikawa surv?f distriet. 20 acres, and offered 10s per annum. —Adjourned fur report from Education Board. Ernest Mnson applied for grazing ricrhfc over ahpnt 30 acres, being part section 41, block VTT, Longwood survey district.
