PUERUA WINTER SHOW.

The Pucrua Winter Show was held in the local ball on the 16th inst., and was a distinct improvement on that of the previous year, which it surpassed both in the mini ber of entries and in the quality of the exhibits. Small money prizes were awarded this year in lieu of certificates. The attendance was largo._ and the ret profits will be forwarded to Dr Barnardo's Home. Mr Reid, who judged the roots, grain, vegetables, etc., and Mr J. Roy, who judged the baking, butter, and jam exhibits, expressed themselves as highly pleased with the quality and the number of the exhibits, which were steadily improving.
