MURDER ON THE RAND
JOHANNESBURG, June 22
Four members of the Nineveh gang of natives, who practise a horrible ritual, have been arrested on the Rand. They murdered John Smellie, a native of Aberdeen, and his wife and daughter, the women being first outraged.
The victims were walking on the veldt and inadvertently witnessed the native rite.', whereupon their death was decided on by the gang.
