QUOTAS FIXED. WELLINGTON, October 20. ’On the basis of the latest registration returns, it has been decided to ask the four military districts throughout the dominion to supply the following percentages for the 10th Reinforcements .going into -camp next month; d

The 10th Reinforcements, being the first of the monthly drafts under the now arrangement announced by the Defence Minister last week, will not be as large as was previously anticipated. They will comprise approximately 3000 men, or 1000 less than originally contemplated._ _ They will receive the frill period of training of four months in New Zealand, and it will not be until they depart that the various drafts will leave New Zealand at monthly periods. The Wellington military district has done well in making up the Bth and 9th Reinforcements and the 3rd and 4-th Battalions of the New Zealand Rifle Brigade (now in camp at May Morn). Nearly half the men for the Bth’s were drawn from the Wellington district, while of the _ 9th’s and the new battalions the same district contributed over one-third of the total of 6COO men.
