MR PAYNE AGAIN.
(From Ova Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, July 17. Intemperate language try Mr Payne this afternoon brought a sharp rebuke from the Speaker. The member for Grey Lynn, during a speech, make a remark about Government supporters going about the country “ lying and slandering.” - The Speaker (sharply): Will the honourable member resume his seat. He must not use such language in this House. He must endeavour to keep within the rules for the conduct of this House, and he must not do anything to degrade the dignity of this House. Mr Payne then resumed his speech.
