MOTOR MISHAP.

(From Ocb Own Corbkspondent.l WANGANUI, July 16. A lady and gentleman, residents of Stratford, were motoring home from Wanganui in a new ear last night, and when at Mountain the driver did not observe that the road took a quick, sharp turn to the right. The result was that, in keeping straight ahead, the car went over an embankment fully 50ft deep. It landed on a heavy barbed-Avire fence, and, fortunately for the occupants, it never overturned. As it Avas, neither was injured, beyond a severe shake and a few scratches from the barbs. The machine was badly damaged.
