THE WEATHER.
Up till Monday the prevailing weather conditions in the difteront parts of the dominion were very variable. Auckland, it seems, has suffered unusually badly during the past few clays, the weather being cold and dreary—on a par with Dunedin’s fate yesterday, when a cloudy zone evidently enveloped the country from north to soutn and along the east coast. The West Coast was undergoing a similar experience, while Otago province generally was anything but pleased with its visitation, a heavy fog and rain showers predominating further south at Bluff. The weather prophets hold forth very poor prospects for an agreeable change. (From Our Own Correspondent.) RANFURLY, July 13. The rainfall registered here for the 24 hours ended 9 a.rn. yesterday was 11 points. COLD WEATHER IN NEW SOUTH ' WALES. SYDNEY, July 13. The weather experienced in this part of the State is bitterly cold, with heavy frosts and snow in- the highlands.
