RAILWAY ACCIDENT
BRISBANE, August 21. Shortly after midnight last night a rail way collision occurred at Aldershot.
While a goods train from Rockhampton was standing at a station a special train carrying sugar came from the Pialba branch line and crashed into it.
The brake van of the stationary train was smashed and the engine of the other train was derailed, and six of ite waggons were wrecked.
Although the Pialba train was equipped 'A ith the Westinghouse brakes the driver states that they failed to act. The passengers on both trains escaped with a shock.
