DUNEDIN CLUB NOTES.
Motto; “To observe, to reflect, and then to speak.” Last meeting was devoted to the debate, “ Which Wields the Greater PowerHeredity or Environment?” Possum led for environment and Silverdalo for heredity. Possum winning Duncan Gray, who supported Possum, deserves great praise for the splendid paper he sent down. All younger members should take notice of this and follow up. Our comrade has been with us only a few times. Silverdalo was very good for his side. Wo always do get good things from him, and whatever side he takes he fights right and left for it. Bimbo VII. who supported Silverdalo, was good also. Bimbo, we think, will make a keen debater one of these days. We live in hopes. Francis brought forth some great arguments for heredity, but unfortunately they were wasted, as can be seen. Pleased to see our patron, Indian Chief, among us once again. Indian Chief brought forward some very strong arguments for environment. Where were all our comrades last Tuesdiy night? We want to see more than that present. Roll up, all ye stopaways! What has Comrade Billy Bin-low been trying to do? This critic noticed ho was lame, and had a walking stick. Here lie is! Here ho is! Here lie is again! Who? Why. Froggie. He has returned from emigrating. The Imp may have been in a wig at the “Mock Trial by Jury.” That is to be found out, Froggie, dear. Welcome as a member of the club, Duncan Gray. It is with your sort wo want to make the club a success. Again welcome. Where was Girlie on Saturday night last? ■Was it at the Fountain? Thus inquires THE IMP.
