The annual ball held by the. local Oddfellows’ Lodge took place in Wilson’s Hall on Friday last, and, as usual, was of the high order of its predecessors. Traffic was resumed as usual on the Kaitangata line on Thursday morning, the break in the line having been sufficiently repaired during the interval by the mine relaying gang, ( The washout on the Taratu railway line has also been repaired, and the train conveying the coal from Taratu to Loved’s Flat was able to make the journey on Wednesday last. The door prize for the last night of the Catholic bazaar was drawn at Robertson’s Pictures on Saturday last, the winner being Mrs W. Smyth, Kaitangata.
