A SERIOUS CHARGE.
GISBORNE. August 15. A serious case is reported from the Matawa.i railway camp. It is stated that a married woman was seized during the night and carried from her rent to another tent, and kept there till this morning. At the Police Court this morning Angus Lament was remanded on a charge of assault with intent. Word ha« been received of the arrest of William O’Leary at Opotiki in connection •with the affair. Another arrest is pending.
