RACING IN AUSTRALIA. BRISBANE, August 13. Tho following is the result of the Metropolitan Handicap:—Trungella 1, Oak Shield 2, Bootan 3. Won by a length and a-ha!f. Time, 2min 33iscc. August 17. The following is tho result of the Exhibition Handicap : —Oak Shield 1, Goard 2, Erunoula 3. Twenty-three horses started. Won by a head, with tho third horse a similar distance away. Time, 2rnin Bseo. ADELAIDE, August 17. The following is tho result of the Grand National Hurdle Race: —Hardrada 1, Master Miller 2, Katingawa 3. Fifteen horses started. Hardrada led throughout. He stumbled at the last hurdle, but came on and won by a length, while tho third
horse was half a-length further back. Time, 4min 50sec. . The race for the Guineas resulted ae follows:—Kildalton 1, River Prince 2, Arndell 3. Ten horses started. Won comfortably by two lengths,' with the third horse a length and a-half away. Time, Imm 43isec. , ADELAIDE, August 18. The following is the result of the Fulham Park Plate, four furlongs.—Plague 1. Acherman 2, Utkasta 3. '1 wenty-cight starreo. Won in a cantor by four Iciigtns; two lengths and a-half between second and thud. Time, 50scc.
