ATTITUDE OF UNIONS. AUCKLAND, August 9. _ The Auckland Tramway Union, by 363 to 152, decided after a ballot not to join the Federation -of Labour. WESTPORT, August 9. The Miners’ Union -at the Scddonville State colliery, by 42 votes to 36, declined to join the new industrial and political organisations. All the other unions in the Westport district are affiliating. Barber: “Bay rum, sir?” Absentminded customer: ”No, small Scotch.”
