A. AND P. ASSOCIATIONS.

PALMERSTON AND WAIHEMO. The annual meeting of the Palmerston and AYaihemo A. and P. Association, held Bt Palmerston, was presided over bv Mr A. APLeod. Th e annual report stated that both the usual horse parade and annual show had been very successful. The balance ehcct showed a credit balance of £67 15s 2d. The association had affiliated with the Clydesdale Horse Society, and a medal would be presented, open for competition to all Clydesdale yearlings and two-year-olds bred and exhibited by local members of the society. A special report was received from the auditor pointing out that the system of keeping accounts in the past, had been very complicated. At present the members’ tickers, which should be a receipt for payment of subscriptions, arc issued indiscriminately, with the result that some members have apparently been enjoying the privileges conferred by them for years without having paid a penny. Some are five years in arrears. By making subscriptions and entry money payable at once, all prze money could be paid out promptly, bookkeeping would bo reduced to a minimum, and the association would always be able to ascertain in a moment its financial position. The following officers wore elected for the ensuing year: President, Mr Wm. APGrc-
