FIXTURES. August 9—Now Zealand Cross-country Championship. Australasian Championships, at Melbourne. —Proposed dates. January 31 and February 2, 1314. THE AMERICANS’ TOUR. WELLINGTON, August 4. At a moetjng of the Council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association tonight a cablegram was received from the New South Wales Association agreeing to the Wellington centre’s terms, viz., contributing £l5O towards the expenses of the American team’s tour. Victoria was also asked to agree to the same terms, but as no reply was received it was resolved that a committee be appointed to await a cablegram with regard to Victoria’s conditions, in order that the American team’s visit might bo reconsidered, that is to say should Victoria not agree to the conditions the American team’s visit would fall through.
