DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB.
A special meeting of the committee of the Dunedin Jockey Club was held on Monday afternoon, there being present: Sir Geo. M : Lean (in the chair), Messrs G. B. Bullock, S. Myers, J. Gow, J. W. Thomson, E. H. Lough, and P. Miller. The Programme Committee submitted its report showing the following increases ter the season 1913-14 :—Spring meeting, £300; summer meeting, £80; autumn meeting, £540; winter meeting, £lss;—total £1075. It was unanimously resolved that the report be adopted, and the name of the Kail way Plate be altered to the Hazlett Memorial Plate. It was moved that the committee place on record the valuable services rendered to the club from its earliest days by the late Mr Jas. Hazlett, and express its deep sympathy for his widow and family in the great loss they have sustained, and that a copy of the resolution be forwarded to Mrs Hazlett. The motion was carried, the members standing.
