CONSPIRACY TO DEFRAUD

LONDON, July 22. Francis Shackleton and Thomas Garlick, charged with conspiring to defraud Lord Ronald Gower of £40,000, have been committed for trial. The evidence in the charges against I'. R. Shackleton, formerly Dublin Herald, of converting to hie own use £IOOO entrusted to him for investment by Miss Mary Josephine Brown, of Tavistock, and £SOOO handed to him by land Ronald Sutherland Gower, was completed on February 13. The defendant reserved his defence, and Mr Curtis Bennett formally postponed committing him for trial.
