BURDEN OF ARMAMENTS
EFFECT OF GERMANY'S NEW SCHEME. INCREASED OUTLAY IN BRITAIN. LONDON, April 4. The Daily Telegraph's naval correspondent states that whereas Britain's normal outlay on shipbuilding is £13.000,000 annually Germany's new shipbuilding scheme will impose on Britain during the next six years an additional aggregate burden of from £12,000,000 to £14,000,000. Germany will shortly increase her personnel from 60,000 to 80,000 men. '
