ffhe programme presented at the Princess Theatre on Easier Monday night to a crowded audience served as a fitting attraction for the termination of the Easter holidays. The new series was announced as being "abreast of the times," and anyone who witnessed it could not fail to appreciate that it is perhapa one of the most varied, as well as one of the most up-to-date, series that has been seen in Dunedin since the inception of picture entertainments here. With such films as "The End of Robespierre," which is a tale of the French Revolution and presents of the heinous deeds of Robespierre, who, a 6 students of works on the Revolution will know, was famous for the guillotining carried out at his instigation. All the scenes pourtrayed are very impressive, and serve to show the trials endured by the people of France in the days of the Revolution. The other pictures worthy of special mention were the illustrations of Mr R. L. Stevenson's book " Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde." This is a story of the effect of drugs discovered by Dr Jekyll which were capable of revealing, the worst and the best side of a man's nature. The other pictures' which go to make up an excellent programme are " Baby Animals." " Dude Cowboy," Pathe Gazette, "A Tale of Wilderness," " Who's: Who in Doggieland," "Crossing the Channel," "Winning an Heiress," and " Did Mother Get Her Wish'" So long as entertainments such as the present are provided at the Princess Theatre there will be a continuance of the patronage bestowed upon them by the public.
