DECLINING BIRTH-RATE
"A GIGANTIC EVIL." LONDON, October 12. In the course of his charge to the clergy, the Bishop of London (Dr Ingram) stigmatises the deliberately declining birth rate as a gigantic evil. He urges the Church to give suitable teaching on the responsibilities of married life and the growing selfishness of thinking firstly of creature comforts and social pleasures.
