THE CORONATION.
LONDON, May 10
Eighty members of the House of Lords and House of Commons have expressed their intention to attend the Coronation durbar at Delhi.
Messrs Raphael Tuck and Sons are publishing, with Sir Alma Tadema's allegorical setting, a facsimile of King George's letter to the nation on his accession. The proceeds will be devoted to charities.
May 12.
Among the standards to be borne during the Coronation at the Abbey will be the following : —Canada (Earl of Aberdeen), Australia (Lord Northoote), New Zealand (Lord Plunket), South Africa (Lord Selborne). New stamps and new post cards and letter cards are "being issued for Coronation Day.
May 15
■ The Kaiser is spending the night at Sheerness, and will reach London at midday to-morrow.
BERLIN, May 14. The Kaiser and the Empress have started for London to be present at the Coronation celebrations.
PREPARATIONS IN TIMARU
TIMARU, May 11. The Coronation will be celebrated by an open-air service, an entertainment by the school children, and* street processions during the day and at night. Illumination Committees have been appointed.
