MINISTERIAL MOVEMENTS.
MR M'KENZIE AT CHRISTCHURCH. CHRISTCHURCH. April 3. The Minister of Public Works (the Hon M'Kenzie) was engaged on departmental business during the whole of the day. He received several private deputations, and had interviews with some city members. Mr M'Kenze wiUproceed north this evening. It is his intention to return south during May, when he will attend the celebration of the anniversary of the discovery of gold at Gabriel's Gully. It is expected that there will be a great gathering on this occasion, and that many miners who took part in the historic rush will be present.
