WRECK OF THE AOTEA
CAPETOWN, January 24. Reuter advises that a contract for the salving of the Aotea has been concluded. Given a continuance of the present perfect weather, the bulk of the cargo can be discharged. Ifc will then be known whether she is refloatable. LONDON, January 25. Heuter's Capetown correspondent reports that there is a hope that when the cargo is discharged it will be possible to save the .aotea's hull. The weather continues perfect. January 26. The underwriters quote 70 per cent, insurance on the Aotea. A contract on the "no cure no pay'' system has been made to float the vessel. January 28. The reinsurance on the Aotea is 65 guineas per cent. The cargo in the upper and 'tween decks is being landed practically undamaged. The lower hold is full of water, but the prospects of salvage are favourable.
