In the evening a lantern entertainment was given in the hall, at which? there was a very large, and enthusiastio gathering of scholars, their parents and friends. Mr F. Pithie, chairman of school committee, presided, and the head masteif' delivered a short address on ''The Objects of the Navy League" and "The School Branch." Thereafter a series of pictures was shown tracing the growth of the navy, from Viking to Dreadnought, Another series dealt with the sixteenth century sea-' dogs, and the Spanish Armada. The"main) pictures, however, were those concerning! "Nelson and Trafalgar," and they wera fittingly brought to a close by the son& "The Death of Nelson" finely rendered b? Mr C. Stewart.
