Tie Lord Mayor of Manchester, when •unveiling Mr Bruce Joy's marble bust of King Edward at Manchester University, suggested that a chair of International Law and* Arbitration should be established in every, university, and he hoped" that Manchester, would take the lead in perpetuating the spirit of King Edward the Peacemaker. ■ OTTAWA, June 3. A mass meeting of English and French residents at Montreal appointed a committee, including Lords Strathcona and Mountstephen, with Sir Thomas Shaugnessy (president of the Canadian Pacific jtailway), to arrange for the erection of > statue to King Edward in that city.
