TROUBLE IN TIBET
LONDON, March 14. China's interference in Tibet is due to the Dalai v Lama, sending envoys direct to St. Petersburg. The Chinese Government proposes to. separate the ecclesiastical and political functions at Lhassa, and to deprive the pontificate of the latter. CALCUTTA, March 18. The Dalai Lama v has been paying visits to the local factories, the* Zoological Gardens, and bioscope exhibitions, and is going on to Darjeeling shortly.
