DEFENCE OF BRITAIN
LONDON, March 20. Speaking at the Institute of Civil Engineers, the War Secretary (Mr Haldane) said that the War Office was preparing to create a reserve of skilled telegraphists and motor cyclists from among the men employed in the railway works of the country. It was calculated that these men would form a potent force in the scheme of home defence.
