CHINESE BURGLAR
PORT DARWIN, March 21. A Chinese burglar entered the room of diver Hughes at the Club Hotel last night. Mr Hughes attempted to capture the intruder, but the latter, who used a knife, inflicted a slight wound on Mr Hughes, and escaped. A constable saw the burglar running away, and fired three shots. The dead body of the Chinaman Avas found at daylight in the bush. Two of the shots had taken effect.
