j PARIS, January 23. I Several streets in Paris are flooded, and . the residents along the quays are using boats. The inundations at the powerstations caused a partial interruption of the Metropolitan and East Parisian tramway services. , Floods in the Rhone, Aube, Loire, and I Meuse districts did enormous damage. January 24. The Seine is 12ft above normal, and , continues to rise as the result of snow and heavy raws. ! Parisians are alarmed at the flooding of the underground railways. Three lines have ceased running owing to submerged sections. There is also a danger that the river will reach the level of the sewers The bear pit in the Zoological Gardens has been flooded, and many of the streets leading to the Seine are submerged Parliament has asked for a vote of £80 ; 000 for the relief of the "cW Ihe Khonc has risen 18ft. Disasters are reported in many provincial districts. e
