BREACHES AT CHRISTCHURCH. CHRISTCHURCH, January 11. A number of cases involving breaches of the Licensing Act were beard by Mr Bishop, S.M., to-day. Charles William Hammond, licensee of the Prince of Wales Hotel, and his_ barman, were charged with supplying liquor to a man already intoxicated:. Tbs barman only was convicted, and fined 40s. Arthur Ward was fined 20s for being on licensed premises at 6 a.m. on New Year’s Day, and Ernest March, for a similar offence, was also fined 20s. Arthur Hughes was fined 40s for supplying liquor unlawfully.
