The Land Board concluded its meeting’ on the 12th. John Lothian applied to purchase or lease about 50 acres, part of section 5, block XIY, Maniototo district.—Referred to ranger for report as to the advisability of removing the reservation upon the mining - reserve. S. Fletcher. on behalf of James Buchanan, applied fora grazing license over Quarrv Reserve, section 72, block 111, Tuapeka East district.—Referred to ranger for report. Mary E. Wither applied for a license to occupy an area, of about 500 acres of unsurveyed land in blocks VIII, Waipori. and XV, Maungatna districts. —Referred !o ranger for report. Wm. John wrote with reference to the area surveyed for him near Gladstone town, Hawea, asking that he be allowed Declined, as area is required for a homestead site. ■ The report of the Classification Commissioners on the runs the licenses over ■which will expire in February. 1911, and the recommendations made in regard thereto were adopted. Grace, non-compliance with residence conditions.—Forfeited for non-compliance. Section 25, block VI, Lauder, T. C. Donnelly, application to exchange for renewable lease. —Exchange granted. Brodrick and Ohalmer, on behalf of John Ironside, applied to he allowed to purchase 40 acres in block XIII, Lower Wonaka District, formerly held by him under occupation license. Pastoral licensee’s consent forwarded.—To be advertised and referred to warden for report. Edward O’Fee appied for an occupation lease over 100 acres of unsurveyed land in Kawarau district.—Granted at rental of 9d per acre. The head office telegraphed intimating that the proposed dates for sale of the runs, opening of s.g. runs and ballot, can be a dont/S d. Received. The board considered the position of settlers in arrears with rent, and in several cases holdings wore declared forfeited. M‘Onie to Andrew 'Smith, section 64, block I, Warepa district; Alexr. M'Qnio to Andrew Smith, sections 44, 65, block I. Warepa district; R. J. Crossan to Mary Elizabeth Wither, sections 49 and 50, block XV, Maungatua. district. Recommended for approval; Hugh Hughes to John Richard Burns, sections 7 and 10 and part mining reserve, block 10, Blackstono district.
