ACTIVITY AT KRUPP'S
LONDON, January 15. The Chronicle, replying to reports that an increased number of workmen is being employed at Krupp’s, states that Krupp’s chiefly turn out implements for peaceful industry, the greatest total number of hands employed on armaments being--5000. January 16. Mr Robert Blatchford, replying to the Daily Chronicle, quotes the Chronicle’s .article of March 20 last, in which it was stated editorially that Krupp’s in 1907 employed 4,350 men, and that since then they had secretly raised two millions sterling for the purpose of increasing manufacture of guns, gun mountings, and armor plates.
