SHEEP FOR THE ARGENTINE.
A VALUABLE CONSIGNMENT. (From Our Own Correspondent.) CHRISTCHURCH, January 7. Messrs Dalgety and Co. are shipping to South America bn behalf of different purchasers a large consignment of stud rams, comprising 50 Romneys, from Mr D. Cameron, Otautau; 11 Corriedales, from the New Zealand and Australian Land Company’s Moeraki Estate; 13 Corriedales, from Mr Jas. Little,
Hawarden; 11 Corriedales, from Mr J. String fellow, Chertsey; 7 Corriedales, from Mr G. D. Greenwood, Teviotdale; and 21 Corriedales, from Mr Leonard White, Rakaia —making a total of 110 head. This is one of the most valuable consignments of sheep that has been sent from New Zealand to South America. High prices are being paid for many of the rams. The sheep are being shipped by the Delphic for Monte Video.
