The advantage of -sold storage, as applied to appto^, is i!io Til by the fact that a certain brand of Ohinemuri apples, when sold in April last, realised only 5s per case, while fruit from the same orchard taken out of the cold score this month realised 113 per case. The storage charges, including extra cartage (says the Waikato Times) amounted to 2s 8d per case, so that there was a clear gain of os 4d per case by storing until apples became scarce. The season 1 ' r~nrd st-- 'vberry was fathered at Walsoken, in West NorfoJ t weighed 20z,. and bad a circumference of Biin.
