DUNEDIN HORSE SALEYARDS. ,

Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report as follows:— For Saturday's sale there was a rather poor entry of horses both, in respect to, number and quality. The attendance of the public was very good, and! included several buyers on the- look-out for first-class draughts fit for town work, but as our entry did not include any of thi3 description very little business was done. The demand for second-class draughts Is very slack indeed,. but there are still goc<J buyers for really first-class young mares and gelding 1 , heavy and staunch, and we can, recommend vendors having- such for sale to try our market. Good young upstanding: spring-cart and spring-van sorts are also scarce, and any coming forward' aro easily placed at full rates. We quote: Superior young draught geldings, at from £45 to £50 : extra good do, (prize-winners), at from £50 to £55; superior young draught mares at from £50 to £60 ; medium draught mares and geldings, at from £30 to £40: aged do, at from £15 to £20; well -matched carriage* pairs, at from £70 to £100: strong springrran horses, at from £25 to £30 ; milk-oarfc and butchers' order-cart horses, at from £18 to £35; light hacks, at from £8 to £13? extra good hacks and harness horses, *t from £13 to £25 ; weedy and aged do, at from £5 to £7.
