Their hats were large, black chip ones, lined wit& pale blue chiffon, and trimmed with black net -and one long ostrich feather. They each carried a black wand, on which were tied bunches of bright pink roses and maidenhair fern, long streamer^ of black and blue ribbon. The smaller bridesmaid* wore very smart frocks of white silk trimmed with quantities of valanciennes lace, and insertion, and pretty white chip bonnets trimmed with silk. They carried bouquets of white sweet peas and roses. After the wedding ceremony the guests assembled at Mr Fisher's residence, St. Clair, where a very jolly wedding breakfast was enjoyed by all. Many speeches were mad* and, notwithstanding the inclemency of the weather, all seemed very hearty and in bright spirits. During the afternoon Captain and Mrsl Instone left for the south, where they intend spending a. week or two. Tli-e breakfast table decorations were high vases of white sweet peas, maidenhair fern, and asparagus fern. On Saturday afternoon a number of people left for the first Sounds excursion. It is to be hoped that the weather will be favourable for the excursionists.
