These were numerous, unsightly, and unnecessary, as there was good gra\el to ba obtained close at hand. — Received. Accounts amounting to £286 7s 2d were passed for payment j TENDERS. ' Thomas Gilbert's tender for 150 yards of metal at Pine Grove at 3o per yard was accepted. The contract for 100 yards of metal at Dunback was let to Archibald Ganan a.t 2s 6d p°r >ard. GENERAL. The Inspector was instructed to obtain a supply of motor discs warning motorists to reduce speed, to be erected in various parts of the co unity. J. H. Bell (Orepuki) was appointed to value mines in the county for the purpose of rating. In committee it was resolv-M — " That it having come to the knowledge of the Waihemo County Council that certain persons have removed schoe'lite from Crown lands in the Macraes Riding without first obtaining the necessary mineral license, thereby committing a breach of the Mining Act^ and depriving the county of its goldfields revenue, the council rsrolve that the Minister of Mines be requested to takethe necessary eteps to collect th© royalty in future, a.nd al*o euo-h royalities as should have been oollected had such poisons taken out mineral licenses i« accordance with th© Mining Act.
