POVERTY BAY.
At the Hawke's Bay Land Board meeting Mr T. Hyde, ' the oldest member of the board, "bade fasewell to the other members as he - contemplates making a trip to the Old Country." He said it was 14 years since the board first sat at Gisborne. At that time the revenue from the G-isborne district wa3 only £2000, but mow it was £16,200. Mir Hyde has only missed one meeting in 14£ years.
