When Mr R. A. Anderson, of J. G. Wa-rd and Co. (Ltd.) was in the Old Country he attended the ram fair at Ashford, Kent, and purchased, on account of Mr Thomas Telford, of Otanomomo, BaJclutha, two Romney Marsh rwrne —one from Mr Charles File, of Elham, Canterbury, and the other from the flock of Mr Arthur Finn, Weetbrcok, Lydd, Kent. Both arc very high class pe3igne3 animals. There was very strong competition for Mr File's sheep, and the highest price of the sale was paid for him. An Argentine buyer offered M.r Anderson a considerable advance if he would part with the ram. All broedars of this class of cheep will wish Mr Telford good luck in his purchase, which we are sure will prove an acquisition to the district.
