EMPLOYERS STAND FIRM.
MINES SILL IDLE. (Facox Our Own Correspondent.) GREYMOUH, January 10. At a largely attended meeting of th« Inangahua Miners' Union last night, the attitude of the executive of the federation and the miners' committee was endorped. No work will take place yet, as the employers decline to assent to Sir J. G-. Ward's proposal till the Government has replied to their request.
