Mr G. F. Dodds has this year won the ' senior championship of the Otago Chess Club with a record of 6 wins, 2 losses. Mt A. El.'is, the runner-up, scored 5 wins, 1 draw, and 2 losses. The committee of the Otago Chess Club at its laet meeting fixed the prizes to be competed for in |he annual contest for the chess championship of the Dominion at cash sums of £20, £10, £5, and £3 respectively.
