FEDERAL POLITICS. MELBOURNE, December 2. The Federal Attorney-general (Mr, W. M. Hughes) is drafting a bill to amend the Patents Act. It provides, as a condition of the issue of a patent, thafr the invention must be manufactured in Australia. The Federal House of Representatives has put th.2 Federal Capital Site Bill though the committee stages. The Senate has passed the Iron Bonus Bill through the committee stages. December 4. The Federal Government is being harassed over its Estimates by its own followers, in regard to increases in salaries.
