The new season's hemp seed is quoted at 203 per cwt ; small lots, 2£d per Ib. New season's canary seed, 15s 6d per cwt; small lots, 2d per Ib. Local merchants, in view of past experieiica, ajjpear to have ordered lightly in Oalifoi-nian frui» for the Christmas trade, consequently the supply is very short in Duntdin, a?, in feet, it is throughout New Zealand.
