Otago Club.— The ,Otago Club closed down last Saturday for -the holiday season, and when the meetings are resumed it will ba in some other place "than th« old clubroon:. No definite arrangements have been made sa far, but it is expected that accommodation! will be secured in a more central and convenient place. England v. Scotland.— The English draughts players seem very anxious to have another international match. Mr J. K. liyons, tha well-known player, of Liverpool, forwardedf the E.D.A. secretary a copy of a resolutioHi to be proposed at the annual meeting o5! the E.D.A., to the effect that—" In the even-ST of a challenge being received from 'the*' Scottish Draughts Association for an international match, it be accepted.
