MOUNT IDA LIONSING COMMITTEE.
The quarterJ.v mooting of the Mount Id-a Licencing Committee wa^ hold at the Courthouse, Na«-eby. on Friday, Mr I. M'Ennis (chairman), anil Messrs P. Kinnev. D. C. Stewart. James Mitchell, and R. F. Inder being present.
The application of Thomas Harrison ParIsuie (Mr Davey) for a transfer of publican*? license in respect of the Ancient lin'on Hotel, Na^eby, to John Henry Andeison was granted.
Gilbert O'Hara, of St. Bat ha n* (Mr Davov) ■«<>« granted a conditional licence for the St. Bathans Racine Club me-etirig, (o be held on December 26 (Boxing Day).
At the conclusion of the meeting Mr Inder, on bphalf of the elective members of the comnntice, presented Mr M'Ennis with a (.ilver-mounted walking stick, as that would be the last occasion on which Mr M'Ennis would preside at the licensing meetings. Mr Inder made reference to the hearty cooperation and good feeling (hat had at all times c-\i«ted between their chairman and themselves. ;.nd wished Mr M"Knnis. on his retirement, many years of happy and useful life. After all "tho other membrs of tho committee had -noken. and a telegram had been lead from Mr I M'Kjiight apologibing
for hi 6 inability to be present and joiningin the good wishes, Mr M'Ennis feelingly replied, and thanked his brother members for their expressions -of goodwill.
